With more than 48.2 million clients served, Sprint Nextel is the third biggest remote media transmission organize in US, contrasted with Verizon Wirelesses 93.2 million and ATTs 92.8 million. In this exceptionally serious industry, Sprint Nextel has encountered a huge overal deficit of its post-paid endorsers on iDEN and CDMA remote systems since mid-2006, which speaks to about 70% of its all out combined portion income in the in the market. Not until the June quarter of this current year sprinted at long last turn positive income, essentially because of the appeal for HTC EVO 4G PDAs. Its losing its current clients for the most part on account of the reality the c lients were not content with the costs of the telephones that Sprint offered to them, contrasted with its new supporters unique proposals on the telephone costs with similar agreements marked. Along these lines, despite the fact that Sprints endorser base has become 110% since 2002, its piece of the pie has scarcely increasedâ [4]â . As per the Value Lines report, Sprint Nextels net working incomes had noteworthy decreases in money related year (FY) closes December in 2008 from $40.1 million in FY 2007 to $35.6 million and proceeded declined to $32.2 million in FY 2009. From Sprint Nextels 2009 yearly report, it shows a decay of post paid normal income per client (ARPU) from $56 to $ 55 and paid ahead of time ARPU from $34 to $28 in this year because of the lower usageâ [6]â . The organization has been adequately diminished the post paid stir from 2.05% to 1.85% during a year ago and is destined for success of expanding the companys working execution. II. Outer Analysis Run Nextel is a firm that winds up in an industry where there is not many, however extremely solid contenders. At present Sprint is the third driving phone specialist organization in the United States. They right now keep up around 12.1% of the cell administrations industry advertise, missing the mark concerning ATT and Verizon who keep up 25% and 31.2% pieces of the pie, individually. The main other genuine contender to Sprint is T-portable, who keeps up around a 12% portion of the U.S. showcase as wellâ [7]â . The general condition for the media communications industry is very serious. Numerous organizations are hoping to grow their assets and piece of the overall industry through mergers and acquisitions with littler remote suppliers that give certain specialties in the market. Probably the latest mergers and acquisitions inside the recent years incorporate Verizons acquisition of Alltel Wireless in 2008 for $28 billion, ATTs obtaining of Wayport (a system and applications the e xecutives organization that gives back-office the board to Wi-Fi problem areas) for $275 million of every 2008, and Sprint discarded its WiMax division in 2008 to frame a $14.5 billion dollar versatile broadband organization called Clearwireâ [8]â . While rivalry drives these mergers and acquisitions, it is anything but difficult to agree that lone the organizations with enough cash-flow to secure the most recent advancements are the ones who get by in this market. The general structure of this industry can be effortlessly separated using Porters Five Forces Model. The initial segment of Porters model clarifies the danger of new participants into the market. Danger of new participants is additionally separated into investigation of economies of scale, item separation, capital prerequisites, exchanging expenses, and dissemination channels. While economies of scale fundamentally relate to assembling enterprises, the idea can be applied to the principle rivals in the market (Verizon, ATT, Sprint, and T-portable). These four organizations represent about 80% of the U.S. marketâ [9]â . Their significant expenses of RD, client support, and upkeep of unrivaled system quality can be spread out more than a large number of administration plans. This permits every one of these organizations to achieve extremely serious evaluating for administration designs that non-economies of scale would not have the option to get. The extent of item separation inside the media communications industry is to some degree solid today, anyway it is debilitating with time. Item separation gets from contracts made with electronic organizations to only sell certain telephones through explicit specialist co-ops. These agreements are normally made solely to the specialist co-ops with the best piece of the overall industry and best system, hence diminishing the danger of new participants much more. Capital necessities to begin a media communications business are staggeringly high because of the expense of setting up, keeping up, and buying the rights to utilize a remote help. The last segment of the danger of new contestants is additionally stifled through the presence of high exchanging costs between specialist co-ops. Every one of the four major organizations endeavor to keep up their piece of the overall industry by drafting long haul contracts with their clients. Clients are presented to punishments and charges while leaving an agreement with a specia list organization before the end date is reached. The subsequent stage in Porters model of evaluating the business lies in the examination of the bartering intensity of providers and purchasers. The providers in the broadcast communications industry comprise of the producers of telephones, switch board hardware, fiber optic links, organize gear, and charging programming creators. The bartering intensity of these providers is generally low in this industry because of the decrease popular for extending such systems in the ongoing yearsâ [10]â . Rather than the bartering intensity of providers, the haggling intensity of purchasers in the media communications industry has been expanding in the course of recent years. Purchasers have the decision of which telephones they might want to utilize and which administration plans they need to oblige them. An ongoing case of the purchasers power is Sprints new assistance plan for boundless everything for $69.99. In dread of an excessive number of endorsers leaving their system, Verizon and ATT immediately gave their clients chances to buy a similar sort of plans. The outside examination of the broadcast communications industry can be further e

In her novel Charlotte Bronte details and develops the life and experiences of narrator and main character William Crimsworth

In her novel The Professor, creator Charlotte Bronte subtleties and builds up the life and encounters of storyteller and principle character William Crimsworth. In the wake of moving on from Eton College in England, Crimsworth needs an occupation. He tenaciously rejects offers from his uncles, and therefore ends up with no other decision than to work for his overbearing sibling in the modest situation of assistant. In any case, his conditions before long become horrendous, and through an associate's proposal, William makes sure about himself work as a teacher at a young men's school in Brussels. William's appearance in Belgium presents him with new open doors both expertly and actually, as he very quickly meets two ladies who are to change his reality significantly: Zoraide Reuter and Frances Henri. Bronte makes and accentuates numerous distinctions and likenesses between these two ladies utilizing different procedures and strategies, which essentially incorporate examination and difference. Zoraide and Frances each have their own noteworthy and individual job in the life of and association with William Crimsworth. Every lady has various types of physical and mental qualities, originates from an interesting foundation, and goes into and influences his life in a differentiating way. These distinctions, alongside a couple of similitudes, are investigated through the creator's utilization of symbolism and incongruity. At first, Zoraide and Frances become engaged with Crimsworth's life in totally different manners. These conditions mirror a trace of incongruity, as their underlying jobs are finished inversions of their definitive capacities. Zoraide and William's underlying experience is one that has been organized by her mom, who has offered him a showing position at the young ladies' school over which Zoraide manages as directress. Consequently, Zoraide shows up out of nowhere and pronouncedly; the significance of her and Crimsworth's cooperations, and her impact upon his life and work are promptly made obvious. Their relationship is set up as one in which she is his boss both in position and in age. Be that as it may, a sentimental chance is additionally proposed in the scene containing their presentation. While strolling together in her nursery, William certainly thinks about Mdlle. Reuter's structure to the â€Å"well-cut beds and sprouting shrubberies† of her nursery, and her appearance to â€Å"the blossom on a decent apple† (108). William and Zoraide's expressions of love are additionally evolved in this regular setting, as most of their sentimental connections happen in her nursery, a kind of prohibited Garden of Eden into which she permits him get to. The nature and plant symbolism that overruns his depictions is proceeded all through the novel and is likewise utilized in depictions of the other basically powerful character in his life: Mdlle. Frances Henri. Instead of the passage of Mdlle. Reuter, Frances shows up in William's life discreetly and without notice as a sewing instructor of whom he has recently watched yet never paid heed. This condition is made obvious in his announcement, â€Å"A†¦ maitresse I at times saw†¦ yet of her I never had a more than passing glimpse†¦ I had no chance of contemplating her character or†¦ watching her person† (132-133). Her significant and persuasive job grows step by step all through the ensuing months. She later gets one of his understudies, consequently building up their relationship as one in which William is the unrivaled: he is the dictator instructor and she the compliant understudy. Be that as it may, as her insight and splendid nature before long become evident, Crimsworth's respect and fondness for her develop and create. In light of his recently shown considerations and thought, Frances â€Å"blossoms† both genuinely and intellectually. This supporting relationship is showed in the representation that thinks about her to a plant and Crimsworth to its mindful plant specialist (176). In one more nature-related similitude, she is contrasted with a â€Å"lost jewel†¦ settling in the overgrown and mildew covered underlying foundations of yew-trees† (194). Crimsworth's numerous depictions of every lady assume a basic job in the advancement of both their physical highlights and mental properties. In spite of the fact that plant and flower symbolism is utilized in the depictions of the two ladies, there are allegories drawn between other regular components that feature the contrasts between them. A part of graphic symbolism where the two ladies contrast totally, is that of fire and temperature. Zoraide is continually being identified with frigidity and ice; her look is portrayed as â€Å"hard, dark,† her eye as sparkling with â€Å"nothing of a fire at any point fueled in its mild gleam† (180,183). Moreover, as William turns out to be additionally familiar with Mdlle. Reuter, she basically â€Å"withers† as her actual nature is found. This condition is made obvious when she and Crimsworth come back to the seat in her nursery, when a position of fondness and interest for him, which has now been changed into an area of chilly, passionate vacancy, because of his disclosure of her genuine character (181-185). Zoraide's actual nature is a manipulative one, which is displayed and showed a few times throughout the novel through her activities. For instance, after understanding that she has lost Crimsworth's respect (because of her own controls and deceptive nature), Zoraide promptly results to shrewd techniques trying to recover his warmth. She utilizes bogus honeyed words of William, and analysis and loftiness of Frances covered up under a pretense of worry so as to lift her own status and appearance ( ). Interestingly, Frances is continually being related with warmth and fire; her eye is depicted as clear and light, her face as brilliant and warm, â€Å"glowing in the enlivened flush†¦ sparkling in the far reaching light [of] the mid year sun blazing out†¦ urning practically like fire† (195). Mdlle. Henri is compared to fire, light, and warmth again and again all through the novel, as the â€Å"silent holder of†¦ a flame†¦ of passion† (196). As a further declaration to the significance of their relationship, without Crimsworth, she has developed â€Å"wasted and pale,† her burst â€Å"humble[d]†¦ to embers† (195, 196). This symbolism further repeats the suitability of her and Crimsworth's relationship, as he himself is frequently portrayed as the owner of an internal fire, his heart copying and â€Å"hot inside [him]† (181). Such collaborations and portrayals build up the nature and character of the central connections of the work. Most definitely, Mdlle. Reuter and Mdlle. Henri have characterizing character qualities that are very inverse from each other. The genuine idea of every lady is made clear as the novel advances and their particular associations with William create. The declaration of these interior attributes, thus, adds to Crimsworth's longing for every lady. Despite the fact that it is Zoraide to what his identity is at first pulled in, her irregularities and shallow nature bring about a short and futile sentiment. Her essence is forceful and recognizable; she makes her sentimental affections for Crimsworth self-evident, and afterward takes part in mental and passionate â€Å"games† with him. They take an interest in a nearly â€Å"cat and mouse† relationship, with every individual continually attempting to pick up the high ground and outmaneuver the other. William's expressions of love for and captivation by her are brief because of her misleading character and absence of trustworthiness. Frances, then again, has substantially more nobility and lowliness than Zoraide, and never takes part in beguiling and base activities. She keeps up a tranquil and coy, practically unnoticeable presence. Her affections for William are not found until some other time in the novel, and are not uncovered because of her activities however are somewhat made known through his own interests. The all the more enduring and genuine affection is shaped with Frances, who is the holder of recovering and praiseworthy characteristics she is the epitome of all that creates a really â€Å"good† person. These qualities structure the sort of establishment whereupon a consistent and genuine love can be based, and subsequently, it is this relationship that grows agreeably and stays flawless all through the novel. Her adoration and sympathy guarantee the marriage similarly as Mdlle. Reuter's unscrupulousness and childishness guarantee her defeat. Another note of incongruity enters the novel here, as it is Mdlle. Reuter who has had a progressively formal and legitimate childhood, while Mdlle. Henri was brought up in virtual neediness and need, with basically no proper instruction. Hence, it ought to be Zoraide who is the holder of these more â€Å"lady-like† characteristics. This distinction in foundation and its final product further mirrors the differences in the inborn idea of every lady, raising the peruser's view Frances and diminishing that of Zoraide. In the last sections of The Professor, Frances ends up in the situation of directress of a school that she and William have established and in this way keeps up a similar occupation as Mdlle. Zoraide. This condition serves to uplift both the likenesses and differentiations of the two ladies. Bronte describes and investigates the two essential ladies characters of Zoraide Reuter and Frances Henri in her work The Professor using correlation and complexity. These two people are characterized through their relationship with the storyteller and principle character, William Crimsworth. These connections are created through the disclosure of specific attributes and data that relate explicitly to every lady. Thusly, symbolism and incongruity create and add profundity to these characteristics, which incorporate physical and mental traits, foundation and history, and inborn demeanor and nature. Without the handy utilization of these gadgets, the characters in the novel would not show up so practical and have such a

Historical Development of the 1960s Essay

Authentic Development of the 1960s Presentation   Of the numerous authentic periods, the 1960 time is viewed as one of the most dubious times ever throughout the entire existence of America. In any case, this was not the expectation that the majority of American residents had. At the earliest reference point of the 1960s, many accepted this was maybe the most encouraging period yet. They even named this time the brilliant age. The desires for the individuals escalated in 1961 when John F. Kennedy took the workplace of the president. His allure and excitement won the hearts and trust of the American individuals. They emphatically accepted that his administration would give answers for the serious issues that they were looking at that point. In any case, to the astonishment of many, the decade ended up being the direct inverse of what they had anticipated. The president himself was killed, a confused tempest described by fights by social equality developments overwhelmed the nation, and rather than the war in Vietnam stopping, it strengthened. This article will endeavor to make an interconnection between these occasions which got down to business the 1960s. It will handle occurrences identifying with the free discourse development, the Vietnamwar, the Black Panther Party, Rock-n-roll, and the women’s development, otherwise called the women's activist development, as saw in this decade.   An issue that had been a thistle in the tissue of the American individuals was conjunction of the white Americans and the African-Americans. Despite the fact that the slave exchange had been abrogated at this point, issues of separation were as yet wild in the public arena. The African Americans would thus commit themselves to battling for correspondence for their kin in this general public. At the earliest reference point of 1960, somewhere in the range of four dark understudies challenged the standards of society at that specific time and took a seat at a white’s-just lunch counter. Their activities were prevailing by exhibitions at that counter each day, drawing the nation’s consideration.   6 years down the line, the African-American people group despite everything needed society to view them as equivalent with the remainder of the Americans and this prompted the development of the Black Panther Party. It was initially known as the Black jaguar Party of self-protection yet the name changed. This gathering development was anyway established for the sole motivation behind destroying police severity in African-American neighborhoods. Be that as it may, with the fast development of the gathering and the beginning of a distribution, the goals of the gathering had enhanced. This broadening implied that the gathering was quicker on social strengthening accordingly ignoring the restrictiveness of race. This anyway started up issues inside the gathering since the extreme individuals varied in assessment with the individuals that were on the side of their communist reason. This made the party’s political intention to be perplexed and the legislature around then thou ght about the gathering as a national danger.   The Black people group of the United States was not by any means the only substance that was battling for its social equality. Sex disparity was as yet a cultural bad habit that America was battling with. During this time, men were given more open doors when contrasted with ladies in for all intents and purposes each field and this prompted the second rush of the women's activist development. The activity showcase saw ladies as the less profitable species. One reason why this thought was maintained was on the grounds that the ladies required time off when they conveyed and most businesses accepted the statement that ladies would leave their place of employment when they got pregnant. More to this, the general public had marked the man as the supplier of the home. It was along these lines contended that men required occupations and better paythan ladies in view of the way that there were individuals who were reliant on them. By and large, society had characterized the spot of a lady as the home; regardless of whether she was instructed or not.   In 1963, Betty Freidan composed a book, The Feminine Mystique. This book featured the disappointment of the informed housewives and how society had compellingly placed them in a condition of disappointment. What stunned many is the way that she challenged society’s suspicion that ladies discovered fulfillment in just serving their families. This book blended a progressive development, one which students of history allude to as the second influx of the women's activist development. This development saw society start to give ladies more possibilities in schools, the activity advertise and furthermore in issues including compensation.   From the verifiable realities accessible from this time, it is apparent that social equality fights and exhibits were the request for the day. Indeed, even understudies ventured to organize their own fights during this period. The Free Speech Movement was the name given to the fights that the understudies arranged. This development occurred in 1964-1965 at the University of California, Berkley, when understudies were communicating their uneasiness on the boycott that the school organization had forced on nearby political exercises. The understudies method of reasoning for the fights was that this boycott was encroachment of their scholastic opportunity and option to free discourse. The understudies felt that they could accomplish something other than restrict themselves to books. The goals of the development had been set up route before the development started when understudies in the grounds shaped an ideological group that empowered them to engage in off-grounds political an d cultural issues.   The understudies utilized this stage to source assets from grounds understudies to help social equality causes. Be that as it may, this privilege was solely allowed to the political clubs in the school and this is the thing that provoked the school to force the prohibition on nearby political exercises. In spite of the fact that the understudies were doing this because of cooperative attitude, society was of an opposite conclusion. Therefore, voters gave the representative seat to Ronald Regan in 1966 whose crusade strength was to make acceptable the wreckage that the Berkley understudies had made.   Events in this time were not simply confined to the neighborhood scene. The occasions that America was engaged with during this period likewise crossed visitors. America had been in strife with Vietnam since the 1950’s. With the appointment of J. F. Kennedy, Americans were cheerful that this contention was at long last going to reach a conclusion following his crusade subject; his administration had answers to America’s most serious issues. Nonetheless, these expectations appeared to go down the channel in 1963 when Kennedy was killed. The expectations of the American individuals were presently in Lyndon B. Johnson’s hands. His legislature had two wars to battle; the war against destitution, and the war in Vietnam.   However, Johnson had subscribed to setting up an enemy of socialist south-Vietnam, a characteristic he had acquired from his ancestors in their solidarity to the nation. Consequently, he needed to settle on a decision to forego the war on neediness to take care of the war in Vietnam. More to this, the president had picked up the help of the congress and they gave him the approval to secure the American officers and their partners by all methods essential. The prolongation of the war caused a partition in the country. Some were on the side of the war, others challenged the war, while others fled to neighboring Canada to abstain from being drafted into the war.   Amidst every one of these occasions that were occurring, individuals required something to give them a departure from everything regardless of whether it was impermanent. Amusement was the surest method of accomplishing such. In this time, the most well-known type of amusement was music. Rock-n-rollwas the most well known music sort at that point. The improvements in this class were alluded to as attacks and were named based on where they started from. The British attack happened in the mid 1960s. In mid 1960s, carport rock was uncovered. The class was regular in North America. The class picked up this name since it was played by armatures at the solace of their homes in their carports. In any case, this kind scarcely made it past the 1960s as it was supplanted by different classes. End   The 1960s period, as featured above was a somewhat occasion full one in the American history. Despite the fact that it might appear as though the period didn't satisfy its hope as the brilliant age, it very well may be contended that somewhat it did. This is on the grounds that the occasions during this time went about as achievements particularly with respect to social equality issues. Nonetheless, the prolongation of the war in Vietnam did bad form to the nation as it caused a partition. Taking everything into account, the 1960s were not short of recorded occasions. Unempowered Women in The Apprenticeship of Duddy Kravitz - Literature Essay Samples

As American radical feminist, scholar, lawyer and activist Catharine MacKinnon once said, â€Å"Women and men are divided by gender, made into the sexes as we know them, by the social requirements of heterosexuality, which institutionalizes male sexual dominance and female sexual submission† (WikiQuote). The concepts of male dominance and female submission, as well as female rejection, are omnipresent throughout Mordecai Richler’s The Apprenticeship of Duddy Kravitz, a novel in which women are regarded as inferior beings subject to male power. This story suggests that whether a woman submits to or rejects patriarchal expectations, she nevertheless lacks empowerment. This notion is exemplified through Duddy Kravitz’s female characters’ relationships with men, namely Yvette Durelle, Aunt Ida and Linda Rubin. Yvette Durelle’s evolving relationship with big time operator Duddy Kravitz demonstrates how a female lacks empowerment whether she complies with or dismisses the patriarchy. In fact, Yvette is initially obedient to Duddy and does whatever it takes to help him achieve his goal of attaining the land, regardless of what the outcome is for her. She unquestioningly signs the deeds to his land in her name because â€Å"the farmers would be wary of a young Jew,† and she does not fight the fact that Duddy treats her as a money-making tool without compensating her, whether it be her endless help in acquiring the land or in starting up his movie enterprise (Richler 109). Yvette’s actions during the beginning of their relationship demonstrate how she is willingly subservient to the patriarchy because she fails to recognize the extent to which she is being taken advantage of. However, she does eventually realize that Duddy is treating her in an unjust manner and is doing â €Å"lots of dishonest things,† so she begins to reject him and his demands (247). She is no longer sweet and obedient, and instead speaks to him in a â€Å"special cold voice† (190), â€Å"[throws] her drink in Duddy’s face† (267) and tells him to â€Å"go to hell† (247) when she feels that Duddy is taking advantage of epileptic Virgil. Seeing Duddy act manipulative and sneaky pushes her to discard his male superiority, and she begins to stand up for herself and what she cares about. Furthermore, Yvette lacks empowerment whether she is compliant or dismissive of patriarchal ways. While she is still acquiescent, Duddy calls her his â€Å"Girl Friday† (228), which is the female version of Man Friday, â€Å"a name for a devoted male servant or assistant† (Dictionary.com), and she is still unhappy when she rejects him based on his unreasonable behaviour and attitude. This suggests that a woman simply cannot win in a patriarchal world; if she is subservient she is regarded as a domestic slave, which is certainly not a powerful image, and she is not much better-off if she is contemptuous. Overall, neither submission nor rejection of men result in a woman feeling empowered. Unlike Yvette, Aunt Ida is never docile with regards to her husband Benjy, and she illustrates how rebuff of male dominance also results in her disempowerment. For example, Ida decides that she is not forced to succumb to patriarchal expectations of women and does as she pleases, regardless of what Benjy has to say about it. Initially, she â€Å"[begins] to take trips alone† and is not afraid to be apart from Benjy, which was unconventional for the time (Richler 48). Ida embodies the fearless rejection of patriarchy during a time when married women were supposed to be dependent on their husbands. Likewise, she further transcends the normative 1950’s female and pushes the envelope of patriarchy when she decides to call off her marriage to Benjy. Duddy tells Lennie that â€Å"she wants a divorce† because â€Å"there’s another man† that she met while in Miami, and Benjy takes the news terribly; â€Å"he looks terrible† and is â€Å"so skinny al l of a sudden† (264). This is especially controversial because a woman was expected to be a â€Å"happy homemaker,† and during this time it was not typical for the wife to be the one to call off the marriage, further supporting how Ida rejected the patriarchal norms of her time (Mrs. America). Finally, one would think that this would leave Ida feeling empowered, considering that she handled the situation at her discretion, but this turns out not to be the case. She portrays herself as a foolish pseudoscientist when she claims that Benjy brought the cancer upon himself, believing that â€Å"psychology has proven that people can bring such diseases on themselves† (Richler 271), and lives in â€Å"a small, junky-looking place† (270) because she refuses to take any of his money. Despite being separated from Benjy, she continues to live a petty life and still thinks about all the ways in which Benjy was a failure, which makes her miserable and unempowered as well. Linda Rubin, Irwin Shubert’s girlfriend, also exemplifies how a woman’s decision to support the patriarchy leaves her powerless. To begin, her obedience towards men is seen when she helps Irwin at Hotel Lac des Sables the night of the roulette game. She does not question any of Irwin’s motives or decisions. Instead, she is submissively used by and helps Irwin cheat Duddy out of earnings while gambling. She gets Duddy drunk and convinces him to bank the upcoming game, and later admits that she was aware that the wheel was an old toy with â€Å"certain tendencies [that] Irwin knew,† but never thought that he would do such a thing to Kravitz (102). The fact that she acts as the compliant help demonstrates how Irwin has complete control over the situation, and she is not an empowered woman capable of thinking and acting for herself based on her own values and ideas. Moreover, Linda is objectified by the men around her, and this contributes to her lack of empowerment. While Duddy and Cuckoo speak about the ways they approach women regarding sex, Duddy exclaims that â€Å"Linda was something else. Soft, curvy and nifty enough for one of those snazzy fashion magazines† (86). It is clear that he only values Linda for her desirable physical traits, and she lacks any sort of power that accompanies intelligence and personality. Additionally, Linda is frequently regarded as a man’s property in Duddy Kravitz, which is demeaning of women’s status in contemporary society. She is defined by her status as â€Å"the daughter of a hotel owner† (87) and Irwin claims that â€Å"Linda was supposed to be his girl† (88). She fails to be her own person, and her dependent relationship on men reinforces the notion that her submission to the patriarchy results in her powerlessness. Mordecai Richler’s The Apprenticeship of Duddy Kravitz illustrates how a woman lacks empowerment whether she is submissive or rejectful of men. Richler implies this through the three primary female characters, specifically Yvette Durelle, Aunt Ida and Linda Rubin. In all, women find themselves in a position of inferiority to men regardless of their attitudes towards the patriarchy.

Mr. Willow needs to consider the authoritarian parent at home and ask Russell to turn in a new assignment whether it be for a grade or not. Mr. Willow can prevent cheating by being a more involved teacher and fostering an environment where students are not afraid to ask for help. He should go over his assignments and make sure that all the instructions are clear and students know what is being asked of them. Russell was an excellent student who had scored consistently high grades. The low grade in the genetics unit should have been a warning signal for Mr. Willow. Definition and Examples of the Yes-No Question

https://www.thoughtco.com/inflection-grammar-term-1691168Also known as a  polar interrogative, a  polar question, and a  bipolar question,  a yes-no question is an interrogative construction  (such as, Are you ready?) that expects an answer of either yes or no.  Wh- questions,  on the other hand, can have a number of answers, and potentially more than one correct answer.  In  yes-no  questions, an  auxiliary verb  typically appears  in front of  the  subject—a formation called  subject-auxiliary inversion (SAI).   Three Varieties of Yes-No Questions There are three types of yes-no questions: the inverted question, the inversion with an alternative (which may require more than a simple yes or no  answer),  and the tag question. Are you going? (inversion)Are you staying or going? (inversion with an alternative)Youre going, arent you? (tag) In an inverted question, the subject and the first verb of the verb phrase  are inverted when that verb is either a modal or an auxiliary verb or with the verb be and sometimes have.   She is leaving on Wednesday. (statement)Is she leaving on Wednesday? (question) The question itself may be positive or negative. A positive question appears to be neutral with regard to the expected response—yes or no. A negative question seems to hold out the distinct possibility of a negative response, however, inflection is also a factor that can influence a yes/no response. Are you going? (Yes/No)Arent you going? (No) The Use of Yes-No Questions in Polls and Surveys Yes-no question are often used in surveys to gauge peoples attitudes with regard to specific ideas or beliefs. When enough data is gathered, those conducting the survey will have a measure based on a percentage of the population of how acceptable or unacceptable a proposition is. Here are some typical examples of survey questions: Are you in favor of premarital sex? ___ Yes ___ NoDo you support gun control?  ___ Yes ___ NoShould people be required  to spay/neuter their pets?  ___ Yes ___ NoDo you believe global warming is a hoax?___ Yes ___ NoDo you plan to vote in the next election?___ Yes ___ No Another way to pose yes-no survey questions is in the form of a statement. Is it necessary to point out that such answers do not give a robust meaning to the phrase public opinion? Expressing Quantity in French - Zero, None - Pas De

Theres a lot to keep in mind when expressing quantities in French. We have  studied  how to express unspecific quantities, du, de la, de l, des, then how to express specific quantities, numbers and expressions of quantity, so now for the last part: when there is nothing, zero, zip, not any! 1 - The Quantity Is None Aha! I bet you didnt think about that one! Well, zero is also a quantity. Which means when you say I dont have money (join the club), you are using a quantity. You could be saying I dont have any money, but the any is often left out in everyday speech.   So, if you wanted to actually say zero, well thats easy, its a number: - jai zà ©ro chat (I have zero cat). But where it gets complicated is when you use a negative. I dont have (any) cat.   In French, wed say something like I dont have none of cat. Please, dont think of it this way, because youd never say that in English, so translating doesnt work. I am just saying it to explain, but its more logical to think of it as pas being a quantity, therefore followed by de/d in French. Je nai pas de chat. (I dont have any cat)Je nai pas de fille. (I dont have a daughter)Je nai pas de lait. (I dont have milk)Je nai pas denfants (I dont have children) And of course, there is a main exception. This rule doesnt apply when your verb is à ªtre (to be). So with à ªtre in the negative, you say the same thing as in the affirmative. Je suis une fille. Je ne suis pas une fille. (I am a girl. I am not a girl). 2 - Adjectives of Quantity Are Not Followed by De/d Aucun/e/s and plusieur/s are adjectives. They dont need an article. Jai plusieurs chats - I have several cats.Je nai aucun ami - I have no friend, I dont have a single friend, I dont have any friend.. 3 - To Recap Some things are easy to quantify: one apple. It’s a whole apple. You usually buy, eat, need one, 2, 3 apples.  But you may decide to be vague, and say â€Å"des pommes† more than one, but I don’t know exactly how many. Now, some things are less easily quantifiable†¦ You don’t buy â€Å"one rice†. You buy either â€Å"one kilo of rice† (a kilo of, an expression of quantity), or â€Å"some rice† (unspecific quantity of an item which is not easily quantifiable). So you need to ask yourself: Am I talking about... A very specific  quantity (a number, or an expression of quantity : une pomme, 5 pommes, un kilo de pommes, une bouteille deau†¦).An unspecified quantity of an item (du vin), or an unspecified quantity of something that you cannot quantify easily (du riz, de la patience)More than one of an item, but a vague plural quantity (des pommes)No item at all (pas de pomme) This is a lot to take in. Read these  lessons over a couple of times and even read it out-loud so you really take the time to understand and process everything.

Essay on Creon as the Tragic Hero of Sophocles Antigone

Creon as the Tragic Hero of Sophocles Antigone Who is the true tragic hero in Sophocles Antigone? This question has been the subject of a great debate for numerous years. Equal arguments exist that portray Antigone as the tragic heroine in the play and Creon as the tragic hero. Aristotle, in his study of Greek drama entitled Poetics, provided the framework that determines the tragic hero of a work. Though Antigone definitely possesses the characteristics and qualities that are mentioned, Creon comes across as the true tragic hero of Antigone. The tragic hero must be a person occupying a high position whose character embodies nobility and virtue. His harmartia was his pride and stubbornness. Because of his pride, he was inflexible in his beliefs. He didnt want to listen to his son or the blind prophet Teiresias when they were advising him to change his mind. When Haemon tries to convince him not to kill Antigone, Creon replies Should we that are my age learn wisdom from such as he is? (784-785) Creon was a victim not of others, but of his own pride. Creon is sincere in his belief that he is doing what is best for his country. He feels that Polyneices was a traitor and enemy of the state because he came upon the city to fight his brother for rule. The peripetia, or moment of reversal of the play, was when Creon finally realized that he was in the wrong. He hurried to make amends by burying Polyneices and then rushing to release Antigone from her tomb. CIA Panel Finds ‘Plainly Unlawful’ Acts that Improperly Invaded American RightsUnknown people drug-test subjectsPanel wants agency to watch over CIA We once again hear problems with governmental agency overly using their power and taking away rights of citizens unjustly. With these problems comes societies weary eye over the government, should society trust them or fear them. With internal problems also come international problems. Oil runs the world and the United States can’t have small oil producing countries have to much power over them. However if these countries wanted they could slow the world down and create huge problems. This is what happened in the nineteen seventies, when a few of the OPEC countries decided that they wanted more money. This caused many problems in the United States and other countries; here in the US the auto industry had to change their thinking on car and engine size. With the CIA committing illegal acts against the public and OPEC r aising the price for oil, the United States had many problems to face at this time. The government caused these to happen, they allowed the CIA to go on unchecked in their performance and activities. If the US had from the beginning given the OPEC nations the right of money they deserved the price of oil might not have shot up so severely. The US could have prevented this situation if they had done this. The Rockefeller Papers were simply a report headed by Nelson A. Rockefeller to be done on the activities of the CIA. The president had ordered a special commission to review the CIA, at the time no one had any idea how unchecked the CIA had gone on with their administration. When the report was finished the media and the public were shocked at the numerous occasions when the CIA ignored the peoples civil rights. This report brought about charges to the CIA with crimes of ‘Plainly Unlawful’ acts. The report charges the CIA with using humans as guinea pigs for LSD along with numerous other crimes (Democrat and Chronicle). An example of this testing is when a civilian of the department of the Army was given LSD in a meeting with out his knowledge. He was told about the LSD 20 minutes later when he started having severe side affects. He goes on to New York for psychiatric help where he jumps from a 10-story building to his death (Washington Post). When the public herd about these accusations they became more suspicious of the government; the public still had vivid memories of Water Gate and the hatred or dislike for Nixon and his administration. The people were tired of the government and their continuous lies over small guerilla warfare with South East Asia. This Report was fundamental in the some of the final large operations of the CIA. .u77b5e9d85e10ad0329e9b5b9c8142026 , .u77b5e9d85e10ad0329e9b5b9c8142026 .postImageUrl , .u77b5e9d85e10ad0329e9b5b9c8142026 .centered-text-area { min-height: 80px; position: relative; } .u77b5e9d85e10ad0329e9b5b9c8142026 , .u77b5e9d85e10ad0329e9b5b9c8142026:hover , .u77b5e9d85e10ad0329e9b5b9c8142026:visited , .u77b5e9d85e10ad0329e9b5b9c8142026:active { border:0!important; } .u77b5e9d85e10ad0329e9b5b9c8142026 .clearfix:after { content: ""; display: table; clear: both; } .u77b5e9d85e10ad0329e9b5b9c8142026 { display: block; transition: background-color 250ms; webkit-transition: background-color 250ms; width: 100%; opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #95A5A6; } .u77b5e9d85e10ad0329e9b5b9c8142026:active , .u77b5e9d85e10ad0329e9b5b9c8142026:hover { opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #2C3E50; } .u77b5e9d85e10ad0329e9b5b9c8142026 .centered-text-area { width: 100%; position: relative ; } .u77b5e9d85e10ad0329e9b5b9c8142026 .ctaText { border-bottom: 0 solid #fff; color: #2980B9; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; margin: 0; padding: 0; text-decoration: underline; } .u77b5e9d85e10ad0329e9b5b9c8142026 .postTitle { color: #FFFFFF; font-size: 16px; font-weight: 600; margin: 0; padding: 0; width: 100%; } .u77b5e9d85e10ad0329e9b5b9c8142026 .ctaButton { background-color: #7F8C8D!important; color: #2980B9; border: none; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: none; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 26px; moz-border-radius: 3px; text-align: center; text-decoration: none; text-shadow: none; width: 80px; min-height: 80px; background: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/plugins/intelly-related-posts/assets/images/simple-arrow.png)no-repeat; position: absolute; right: 0; top: 0; } .u77b5e9d85e10ad0329e9b5b9c8142026:hover .ctaButton { background-color: #34495E!important; } .u77b5e9d85e10ad0329e9b5b9c8142026 .centered-text { display: table; height: 80px; padding-left : 18px; top: 0; } .u77b5e9d85e10ad0329e9b5b9c8142026 .u77b5e9d85e10ad0329e9b5b9c8142026-content { display: table-cell; margin: 0; padding: 0; padding-right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-align: middle; width: 100%; } .u77b5e9d85e10ad0329e9b5b9c8142026:after { content: ""; display: block; clear: both; } READ: Sir. Baldric and The Evil Threshmit EssayThe exact crimes of the CIA are numerous; many of them have to do with the gathering of information of US citizens and using it to violate people’s civil rights. The alleged crimes were that the CIA did not have â€Å"department lawyers stressed that successful prosecution would depend on proving that the defendant was acting without proper authorization from high government officials.†(Democrat and Chronicle, Report Charges CIA with ‘Plainly Unlawful’ acts) The Rockefeller commission also gathered information on alleged assassination plots against foreign leaders, which could not be fully disclosed to the public, the commission needed more time to fully investigate. One positive piece of information in the report said â€Å"it could find no credible evidence of CIA involvement in the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.† (Democrat and Chronicle) One particular top-secret project called Operation Chaos that involved spying on American dissident groups in response to White House pressures-were clearly improper. The commission however backs the CIA record and stated that no fundamental changes were needed in the spy agency’s basic legislative charter. Ironically the commission suggested to President Ford that the CIA be given more authority over national issues. One example of this is to allow the CIA to gather information on â€Å"persons suspected of espionage or other illegal activities relating to foreign intelligence, provided that proper coordination with the FBI is accomplished.† (Washington Post) Overall though the Rockefeller commission made 30 reco mmendations for change in internal controls and guidelines and adoption of CIA’s long sought version of an official secrets act. When oil prices started to rise, the public was severely hurt by this. Leader of the OPEC countries (Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries) saw that they could get more money for their oil. He saw how the US and other nations were simply giving them the smallest amount of money for their oil. With this he raised the price of a barrel of oil quite drastically. This forced the US and other nations to raise gas prices severely. Venezuelan Oil Minister Valentin Hernandez Acosta says that the reason for the price hike was to compensate for world-wide inflation. However there was no evidence that inflation has eroded oil revenues to the extent that some producers then wished to raise prices that had already quadrupled since 1973. President Ford’s response to the decision of OPEC’s decision to put off the price raise till fall was that â€Å"any price increase should be limited to seven or eight percent and possibly the price should be reduced.† (Democrat and Ch ronicle) In nineteen seventy four a price freeze on oil was enacted; some producers in the three day meeting in a West African capital have complained that they had a loss of thirty five percent of their purchasing power since the price freeze (Democrat and Chronicle). Some extreme members of OPEC like Iraq and Algeria have urged price increase to recover the whole of the claimed loss; this is unlike more moderate governments that were ready for a less increase to an almost lesser amount. The US hopes that the decision on the price increase is within limits. These two events were very important in the United States; they had a largeImpact on how companies ran their businesses and the power of government funded agencies. With these problems came societies unrest and a hate for the government. Society reacts quite severely when their civil rights are infringed upon or if they lose easy and unrestricted access to large automobiles. The American public has always had a love for large engines, gas-guzzling cars. When the price of oil shot up, the public was forced to economize and settle for more cost efficient cars. Each one of these events shows society that they are losing their once closed country to problems outside and inside their home. The public did not like this situation where their civil rights were being broken and they were having to pay outrageous prices for gasoline. This did not have a positive affect on the public. .u76b5c2e13d676788459d113a2e5333a5 , .u76b5c2e13d676788459d113a2e5333a5 .postImageUrl , .u76b5c2e13d676788459d113a2e5333a5 .centered-text-area { min-height: 80px; position: relative; } .u76b5c2e13d676788459d113a2e5333a5 , .u76b5c2e13d676788459d113a2e5333a5:hover , .u76b5c2e13d676788459d113a2e5333a5:visited , .u76b5c2e13d676788459d113a2e5333a5:active { border:0!important; } .u76b5c2e13d676788459d113a2e5333a5 .clearfix:after { content: ""; display: table; clear: both; } .u76b5c2e13d676788459d113a2e5333a5 { display: block; transition: background-color 250ms; webkit-transition: background-color 250ms; width: 100%; opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #95A5A6; } .u76b5c2e13d676788459d113a2e5333a5:active , .u76b5c2e13d676788459d113a2e5333a5:hover { opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #2C3E50; } .u76b5c2e13d676788459d113a2e5333a5 .centered-text-area { width: 100%; position: relative ; } .u76b5c2e13d676788459d113a2e5333a5 .ctaText { border-bottom: 0 solid #fff; color: #2980B9; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; margin: 0; padding: 0; text-decoration: underline; } .u76b5c2e13d676788459d113a2e5333a5 .postTitle { color: #FFFFFF; font-size: 16px; font-weight: 600; margin: 0; padding: 0; width: 100%; } .u76b5c2e13d676788459d113a2e5333a5 .ctaButton { background-color: #7F8C8D!important; color: #2980B9; border: none; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: none; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 26px; moz-border-radius: 3px; text-align: center; text-decoration: none; text-shadow: none; width: 80px; min-height: 80px; background: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/plugins/intelly-related-posts/assets/images/simple-arrow.png)no-repeat; position: absolute; right: 0; top: 0; } .u76b5c2e13d676788459d113a2e5333a5:hover .ctaButton { background-color: #34495E!important; } .u76b5c2e13d676788459d113a2e5333a5 .centered-text { display: table; height: 80px; padding-left : 18px; top: 0; } .u76b5c2e13d676788459d113a2e5333a5 .u76b5c2e13d676788459d113a2e5333a5-content { display: table-cell; margin: 0; padding: 0; padding-right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-align: middle; width: 100%; } .u76b5c2e13d676788459d113a2e5333a5:after { content: ""; display: block; clear: both; } READ: Human Sexuality EssayThis look at nineteen seventy-five brings together a lot of what we have discussed in class. We look at how the oil price has never been as low as before the price raise of the seventies and also how the CIA hasn’t been in the media as much as that time. If the US had never given the CIA so much power, if the US had provided some type of check and balance for the CIA we would have had less problems regarding their activities. The government has usually tried to provide the public with as much freedom as they could. They have just given too much power to their agencies. The public has continuously been losing their pride in the government of the United States; they will probably never have the same look at the US government as they once did. History Essays

Moreover, bottom up analysis is beneficial for understanding the financial situations of both the companies. Investors of companies focus on analysis of the company value and competitive advantages to predict future performance of its stock price. For this, various financial ratios have been calculated and analyzed like current ratio, debt ratio, liquidity ratio, earning per share etc for both the companies. Macquarie Telecom Group The journey of Macquarie telecom group was started as an entrepreneur that has made difference between customer services and deregulated telecom industry. This company is dominated by the monopolistic competition with Telstra whose customer crush is very large. Whenever Macquarie has delayed adoption of the new technologies, it has affected profits of the company. Macquarie has fought with the deregulation by cutting down the prices and introducing new technologies for the customers (Macquarie, 2017). The main aim of this company is to focus only on one segment of the customers and provide them the better telecom services. Our customers are always important for us to gain success within the market or industry. Macquarie Company is dealing in three types of businesses such as Macquarie telecom, Macquarie services and Macquarie government. In Macquarie Telecom, it provides the several telecom services in the market like data, voice, mobile and collocation services. It was the first business of Macquarie group. Under Macquarie services, the company is dealing with IT specialist centre, cloud and dedicated server (Peter, 2012). IT related complaints come in this organisation. It pays deep attention to a companys debt-equity ratio, earning per share, dividend payout, profit margins, interest, asset and dividend coverage, sales penetration, market share, product and market innovation and the promoters record of accomplishment. It is a conservative and non-speculative approach for valuating equity shares on value-based methods. It consists of three phases such as economic analysis, industry analysis and company analysis (Matt, 2016). In fundamental analysis, a study of comparative balance sheet, profit loss account will be conducted for each company. Economic Analysis From economic analysis, it has been determined that the economic growth of Australia has declined slowly. Economy of Australia has seen significant fall in fixed and public investment of the stock market in Australian exchange market. In economic analysis has considered the various factors that include the current changes in interest rate, foreign exchange rate and GDP. The current GDP (Gross domestic product) per capita income of Australia is showing an increasing trend from past years. For example, the per capita GDP of Australia has increased from 50952 US dollar in 2007 to 55670 US dollar (Trading Economics, 2017). The growth rate of GDP per capita income is showing a scope for sustainable business growth for both telecom companies across Australia (Nlkiforos, 2012). While, current exchange rate of 1 AUD is 0.80 US dollar in 2017. It means the value of Australian dollar against US dollar is good. But as compared to past years, the exchange value of Australian dollar against US do llar is at very lower level (i.e. 0.80 USD in 2017) than the value in 2011 (i.e. 1.09960 USD) (XE, 2017). This can be a negative factor for attraction of Australian economy for foreign investors. But, from analysis of GDP per capita of Australia, it can be said that consumers of Australia have the ability to pay for services offered by both the chosen companies. Moreover, the depreciation of Australian dollar has a positive effect on the export of goods. For example, companies that have export trade in US regions will enjoy competitive advantages. But at the same time, price of import of goods, foreign investment and overseas of travel shall be affected negatively. Additionally, the rate of interest in Australia is recorded at historical low level as on 5th September 2017 i.e. 1.5% (Trading Economics, 2017). Lower rate of interest is beneficial for the organizations, as they will be able to get bank loan at lower rate. Industry analysis Industry analysis is helpful for understanding the operating activities, financial key element and development of mobile, broadband and fixed line in sector of telecommunication industry. Further, telecommunication companies have trained their staffs for handling dynamic changes that occur in the market (Riaz, 2016). These changes include new technologies, low margin and competition in the traditional market within the Australia. Many developments are occurring in the telecommunication industry since last five years (i.e. from 2011 to 2015). These developments are affecting the competitive advantages of the telecommunication sector. These developments are creating pressure on the two Tier mobiles service providers to achieve the target and maintain the market share price in the Australia. Another development of telecom sector is growth in consumer demands for data services. Increasing demand of mobile data services will affect quality of services in the telecom sector. Meanwhile, consumers protection is also considered as important by the telecommunication sector of Australia (ACC report, 2016). Telecommunications operators are more focused on providing better services to the customers with the help of bringing in transparency in their services, bringing in new technologies and promoting the innovated product in the market. Company Analysis This analysis is helpful for investors to analyze different resources and capabilities within each company. It is helpful to identify companies that are more capable for creating and maintaining competitive advantages in the market of Australia. This analysis is more focused on management and financial situation of each company in telecommunication sector. Management of the Companies The management of both companies are very efficient and effective and focused on customer needs and wants. Investors might look at management to assess its capabilities, strengths and weaknesses of the companies so as to help investors in making better investment decisions. Financial analysis This is the second step of company analysis. In this, investors analyze the financial statements of both companies, which is helpful to take the better investment decisions (Wang, 2015). The Macquarie telecom group Company is more profitable as compared to Telstra communication. Macquarie captures higher market shares in stock market of Australia, because dividend ratio of Macquarie telecom group is high as compared to Telstra. Debt ratio of both companies is slightly different with each other, which affects the share price of the stock market in (ASX). For investment purpose, Macquarie telecom group will prove to be more profitable as compared to Telstra telecom. Bottom-up Analysis Abottom-upinvestigation approach focuses on analysisof individual stocks of the companies. In bottom-upanalysis, the investors focus on attention of the specific company rather than on the industry in which that company operates the business, or country economy as an Australian market (Eugene and Philip, 2012). Different ratios are calculated for both the companies for understanding the company value in the market. The calculation and interpretation of different ratios for both the chosen companies is as below: Telstra Company Ratio analysis From the annual report information that data related to the Telstras financial performance is evaluated on the basis of various ratios. Different kinds of ratio that have been calculated and analyzed are the profitability ratio, liquidity ratio, capital structure ratio and market performance ratio for the business in two consecutive years as 2016 and 2017. Ratio Analysis for Telstra Business Ratio Name Formula 2016 2017 Current Ratio Current Asset/Current liabilities 1.02 0.86 Current Asset 9340 7,862 Current Liabilities 9188 9159 Quick Ratio Current Asset-Inventories /Current Liabilities 0.91 0.76 Current Asset 8357 7,862 Inventories 557 893 Current Liabilities 9188 9159 Gross Profit Margin Gross Profit /Sales 0.54 0.48 Gross Profit 10465 10679 Sales 22685 22134 Profit Margin Profit Before Tax/Sales 0.24 0.255 Profit Before Tax 7648 5647 Sales 22685 22134 Debt Ratio Total Liabilities/Total Assets 0.65 0.57 Total Liabilities 27379 24573 Total Assets 42133 43286 Debt to Equity Ratio Total Liabilities/Total Equity 1.72 1.6877 Total Liabilities 27379 24573 Total Equity 15907 14560 Price Earnings Ratio Market Price Per Share/Earnings Per Share 2.22 1.12 Market Price Per Share 5.56 3.65 Earnings Per Share 2.5 3.25 Dividend Payout Ratio Dividend Per Share/ Earnings Per Share 1.24 0.95 Dividend Per Share 3.1 3.1 Earnings Per Share 2.5 3.25 Interpretation: On the basis of above interpretation of data for the year 2016 and 2017, the current ratio is determined as 1.02 and 0.86 respectively which is moved towards negative, it intensify that the companys ability is getting down in order to paying the short term debts or obligation that arises over the company. As company is not able to maintain the asset and liability ration through using the market securities, cash and receivables. Along with this the, quick ratio for the company is measured as 0.91 and 0.76 which is also indicating that the companys strength is getting lower to pay the quick arises liabilities over the business due to its operating activities. These are delivering the negative performance of company over the year 2016 and 2017. At the same time, it is stated that the current ratios are delivering the information about the operating cycle of Telstra buisness. Quick ratio is also not enough to respond the current liabilities over the most liquid assets (Brigham and Housto n, 2012). From the analysis of profitability ratio which indicates the return on investment over the operational activities of business. Gross profit margin ratio is calculated as 0.54 and 0.48 for the year 2016 and 2017 respectively, it means that the companys gross margin has decrease as compare to the current year. It indicates that the financial operation of business is generating higher expenses so that it also impacts on the net profitability of business. Furthermore, Profit margin for Telstra business has also increased from 0.24 to 0.25 in year 2016 and 2017 which strengthen the financial position of business good because long term stability for business is depends on the generation of profit as it also an investor luring proficiency of business. Profitability is crucial important to measure the efficiency of organization that declare strong capabilities of company (Katsioloudes, 2012). As after check, the above table can be said that the efficiency of TelstraCompany increased as compa re to last year. Over the measurement of debt ratio which inferences that the debts on companys as liabilities are reducing over the year 2016 to 2017 by 0.65 to 0.57, which is better for the company to attract the potential investors. Further, debt to equity ratio is also decreasing from 1.72 to 1.68 which states that the business liabilities over the equity are lower from last financial year. Both of the considerations are getting which is good to reduce the liabilities over the business. Over the interpretation of price earnings ratio, it can be said that the performance of business is also decreasing from 2.22 to 1.12 it is not good for the shareholder and business as well because it influence the brand image of company in perspective market.
