Lawrence in his rime serpent speaks of how society has blurred our views and forces us towards the social norms. Christianitys view on snakes has been negative for thousands of years. When I dictum snake, it immediately do me think of the serpent in the Garden of Eden in the Bible. This serpent represented all of the sin in the world, and more than importantly everything evil. Therefore, before baffle past the first fall of this numbers I already disliked the snake. However this is on the button what Lawrence is showing in the poem. Because of my burnish from society, I assume that an open creature is automatically evil. This poem is filled with alliteration.
